A Season to Remember — Thank You & One Final BOGO 🌱

As the leaves begin to hint at fall, we’re feeling a deep sense of gratitude and pride. What started as a hopeful spring opening has turned into one of the most fulfilling seasons yet at Holden Lake Farm & Garden. Before we close the book on summer, we have one last celebration—our final BOGO free sale (Sept. 25–Sept. 28) as a heartfelt thank-you to this wonderful community.
🌱 From March Beginnings to Summer Bounty
We opened our greenhouse doors in March, welcoming locals and gardening enthusiasts with anticipation and ambition. Over the spring months, we watched seedlings turn into lush, thriving plants under BC’s rich growing conditions.
Because of your support, we were able to extend our season into the summer—a first for us. Our farm stand bloomed with fresh produce: juicy tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, sweet peppers, and more. And our star? The strawberries.
🍓 Strawberries That Stole Hearts
Our strawberry season was a high point. These sweet, juicy berries were greenhouse-grown and picked fresh daily, quickly becoming a customer favourite. Week after week, folks stopped by for a pint (or a whole flat!) to enjoy on the drive home or to use in jams, baking, and summer salads. It’s always a joy to see something grown with care become part of your kitchen traditions.
🤝 Collaborations, Workshops & Community
One of the most joyful parts of this season was working with our local vendors, instructors, and creative partners to bring hands-on learning to our farm. Whether it was container gardening, fall planter design, pollinator gardens, or composting workshops, we hosted experts and friends who helped share knowledge—and build community.
